Breeding is a vital aspect of Freak Off, allowing players to unleash their creativity and expand their collection of NFT Freaks. During the breeding seasons, players have the opportunity to mate their Freaks and produce offspring with distinct DNA containing stats and appearance data. These offspring are the result of combining the genetic information of the parents through our genetic system. This allows players to mate Freaks with desirable traits and aesthetics strategically to generate offspring with improved stats and visually appealing appearances.
There are two primary methods of breeding: in-house breeding and utilizing the Stud Farm. Stable owners can choose to breed their Freaks within their own stable or explore the various contract options available at the Stud Farm. In Stud Farm breeding, male owners list their Freaks and set their preferred breeding fee. Female owners can then select from the available males, pay the fee, and breed a new NFT. The female owner keeps the newly bred NFT, while the male owner receives the breeding fee.
In terms of creature aesthetics: there's a pool of designed pieces for every variable body part. each piece in a pool has a weighted chance of drawing.
when two creatures (male/female) breed:
there's a 20 % chance for the offspring to Inherit a body part from the father.
there's a 20 % chance for the offspring to inherit a body part from the mother.
there's a 60 % chance for the offspring to choose a body part from the proper pool.
Note: Creatures' body parts are not related to their traits and racing abilities.
