Class System

Official Freak Off Whitepaper, last updated October 2024

The class system in Freak Off ensures balanced and fair competition by categorizing Freaks based on their rank points. It provides a clear progression path, allowing Freaks to race against competitors with similar performance levels.

When a Freak's rank drops under the minimum rank point of its current class it will class down, and when it breaks the maximum, the Freak will class up. There are 6 racing classes in the game that Freaks can race in, based on their current rank point. Each Freak will gain or lose rank points based on its finishing position in races.

-The Qualification Class is an evaluation racing class exclusively for unraced Freaks. Raced Freaks cannot participate in qualification races, making it the ideal starting point for newcomers. These races are free and offer an opportunity for Freaks to showcase their potential.

Classes 5 to 1 are the main race classes of the game.

  • each of these 5 classes is associated with a specific range of rank points.

    • Class 5: rank 100 to 150

    • Class 4: 151 to 200

    • Class 3: 201 to 250

    • Class 2: #TBD

    • Class 1: #TBD

note: Freaks can only race in their current class and above. A Freak will gain rank points winning the races in classes higher than its' current class, but losing in higher ranks will be counted as handicapped-lose and the Freak doesn't lose any rank points for them.
